Guidelines for Acceptance

Gender: Male and Female

Treatment: Drug Addictions, Alcohol Addictions, Sex Addiction, Gambling Addiction, and other self-destructive behaviors.

Accreditation and Licensure

Beit T'Shuvah is fully accredited and licensed by the State of California under the Department of Alcohol and Drug programs.

Beit T'Shuvah is a Joint Commission Accredited Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center providing Residential Treatment, Intensive Outpatient, Aftercare, and Dual Diagnosis treatment in Los Angeles, California.

We are proud to announce that we are in-network with:

Blue shield, Covered California, LA Care PASC-SEIU and Health Net

Exclusionary Criteria
  1. Individuals in need of medical detoxification (referrals to detox can be arranged).
  2. Severe eating disorders.
  3. Severe psychiatric disorders in need of acute hospitalization.
  4. Chronic aggressive behavior incompatible with a group living environment.
  5. Individuals must have an understanding of the English language to fully benefit from the program.

We offer various rates depending on what the client needs, level of care etc. For a comprehensive breakdown of cost, please contact our admissions department. We also strongly encourage everybody to fill out our Insurance Verification Form to see if your insurance will cover any treatment.

Intake Procedures

List of Items to Bring
  1. Clothes for no more than 3 weeks (Laundry services on site)
  2. Your favorite blanket and pillow (optional)
  3. Something business casual, i.e. Temple attire, to wear on Shabbat and special events.
  4. Personal cosmetics
  5. 30 day supply of all prescription medications. Please note it is extremely important that all medication be in their prescribed bottles. We will not accept any pills that are loose.
  6. Picture I.D., Insurance card, Social Security card
Prohibited Items
  1. Nothing containing alcohol (mouthwash, perfumes, etc.)
  2. No narcotics or drugs of any kind.
  3. Any kind of pornography.
  4. No weapons or sharp objects of any kind.
  5. Any type of aerosol cans.
  6. Computers
  7. Cell phones not permitted for the first 60 days
  8. Automobiles
Participation Requirements
  1. You must attend Torah study every morning.
  2. You must attend all groups (4-5) daily.
  3. You must meet with your assigned counselor, spiritual advisor, and therapist weekly.
  4. You are required to attend Shabbat services every Friday Night and every Saturday morning unless told otherwise.
  5. You must attend all observed Jewish holidays.
  6. You must attend outside 12 Step meetings.
  7. All staff directions must be followed.
  8. You are required to work on the thrift shop truck once a week (men).
  9. You are required to work at the thrift store once a week (women and men).
  10. Each resident is given a house job that must be completed daily.
  11. Each resident is required to clean their room on a daily basis.
