Andy Besser JD, CADC-CS
Executive Director
Prior to coming to Beit T'Shuvah, Andy Besser spent 25 years as a civil litigation attorney. Upon retirement from the active practice of law, Andy decided to commit himself entirely to helping others in their struggles with addiction. As well as being the director of the Intensive Outpatient Program at Beit T’Shuvah, Andy is a counselor and group facilitator specializing in leading 12 Step and Alcoholics Anonymous Big Book workshops. Andy also serves as a volunteer case evaluator for the California State Bar, Lawyers Assistance Program - developed to help protect the public, the courts, and the legal profession by offering education and rehabilitative programs to State Bar members suffering from substance abuse and mental illness - and was appointed to a four-year term on its Executive Oversight Committee. Andy is also the Chief Financial Officer of the Burstein Company, his wife’s Management and Production Company, which represents actors, writers, and directors for film, television, theatre, and new media.
