Julie DeMayo is the chief financial officer. Julie possesses a broad understanding of budgeting, planning, and operations of nonprofit and for profit organizations. Julie joined Beit T’Shuvah in June 2014 from the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning, where she served as the director of finance. Earlier, she served as the financial manager of the Jewish Community of Chicago, managing a $30 million annual operating budget. She previously served as CFO and co-owner of V-Mark Automation, an assembly machine manufacturer.

Given her gift for making the numbers work, Julie finds it very exciting to help this organization stay fiscally on track. She also gets to help clients and their families through tough times with compassion and understanding.
Bringing her warm and nurturing spirit to work, it’s no surprise to hear she is a proud mother of four. Julie holds a master’s degree in economics from the London School of Economics and a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
